USCIS has a new chief

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) swore in their new director, Alejandro Mayorkas, on August 12th.

Following President Obama’s nomination, Mayorkas, who has experience both as a private and US attorney, was unanimously approved by the Senate.
