Spam purveyors more resilient than we might like

Have you noticed a reduction in spam levels recently? No? Neither have I, and that’s because it was quite short-lived.

According to data assembled by Google, junk mail levels declined precipitously after notorious spam ISP McColo was shut down last November. Unfortunately, spammers appear to have recovered quite quickly, with junk mail levels almost at their pre-shut-down levels a scant two months later.
